High Point Arts Council announces All Slots Filled for Centennial Station Open Mic
The High Point Arts Council is excited to announce that all of the performance slots for their upcoming Centennial Station Open Mic Night have been filled! This means that six different performers are lined up to take the stage at the Centennial Station Arts Center this coming Friday, March 8 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Admission for this event is free and open to all ages.
This Centennial Station Open Mic Night is set to feature a wide variety of genres from singer-songwriters to gospel artists. With a filled lineup of artists who have never performed at a Centennial Station Open Mic before, the High Point Arts Council is eager to once again showcase new local talent from the Piedmont of North Carolina. Structured in a way to encourage the participation of new artists, the Centennial Station Open Mic has allowed over fifty local musicians the opportunity to perform live on stage in front of an attentive audience. Each performing artist receives twenty minutes of stage time to showcase their talents. Many of the past performers from this open mic have gone on to perform at various other programs presented by the High Point Arts Council throughout the year.
In addition to the live music for the night, the Centennial Station cash bar will also be open for this event with great specials on craft beer and wine. The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial Street in downtown High Point.
