High Point Arts Council’s Pullman Poet Society Poetry Reading at Sunrise Books
Join the High Point Arts Council’s Pullman Poet Society (PPS) on Sat., Dec. 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunrise Books in Uptowne High Point. The PPS is excited to be back at Sunrise Books and is looking forward to reading poetry at the bookstore’s new location during the annual Uptowne Holiday Stroll!
Reading new poems that have been collected throughout 2018, the PPS will be sharing works that will be expected to appear in Volume Two of the PPS Anthology to be released by the end of the year. The PPS is a free poetry group that formed in 2016 through the High Point Arts Council. The PPS is completely free to join and is open to interested readers and writers of all ages. Coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, the writers of the PPS look to create a stronger writing community in High Point that encourages and builds the local literary talent growing in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
This reading is part of an ongoing series presented by the High Point Arts Council’s Pullman Poet Society. On the first Saturday of each month, at 11:00 a.m. the PPS will give a free public reading of their latest works. Poets and writers who are not involved with the PPS are still encouraged to attend and share their work as long as it is free of expletive language.
