Incendiary Brewing Grand Opening Labor Day Party with Gears and Guitars
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.: Incendiary Brewing with Gears and Guitars reignite the Bailey Power Plant CoalPit Labor Day weekend with Music, Beer and Food Trucks.
Incendiary Brewing Company, Winston-Salem’s newest brewery, and Wexford Science & Technology, developer of the Bailey Power Plant, are excited to announce the grand opening of Incendiary Brewing’s tasting room during a community grand opening event for the Bailey Power Plant during Labor Day Weekend. The event will feature two days of live music, open to the public.

Opening in Wake Forest Innovation’s “CoalPit”
Incendiary Brewing will feature hop-forward beers, some traditional styles, and barrel-aged brews after some time to condition. Co-Founders Brandon Branscome and John Bacon are joined by brewmaster John Priest, originally from Burlington, who comes to Incendiary via Bells Brewing of Michigan, and Gibb’s Hundred of Greensboro. Incendiary Brewing will concentrate on featuring new beers weekly while growing their barreling program. Labor Day weekend, Incendiary Brewing will release “Shift,” a hazy New England IPA, a West Coast IPA, and a fairly new IPA style, Brut IPA , a fruited berliner weisse, and a traditional blonde.
“We are excited to open our doors to the public Labor Day Weekend for our Grand Opening Event and community Labor Day party at The Coal Pit,” said Branscome. “The Bailey Power Plant offers amazing indoor/outdoor opportunities for our customers, along with the opportunity for great events such as this upcoming holiday weekend.”
“We are excited to have Incendiary Brewing as the newest brewery in Winston Salem, and the next in the line of exciting retail announcements in Innovation Quarter,” shared Will Partin, senior director of development with Wexford Science & Technology. “This Labor Day event is a perfect way for us to share the Power Plant and The Coalpit with the broader community, who may not have been to the area before.”
Incendiary Brewing Company with Gears and Guitars are combining for the breweries Grand Opening and the first official event in the newly opened “CoalPit” in Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. The party starts at noon Saturday September 1st with the official opening of Incendiary. Music starts in the “CoalPit” at 7 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. Music will be provided by Clay Howard and The Silver Alerts, The Blue Stones, Bad Hombres and Hannah Wicklund and The Steppin Stones.
Clay Howard and the Silver Alerts along with Bad Hombres are Winston-Salem locals and staples of the local music scene.
The Blue Stones return to Winston-Salem after their 2017 appearance at Gears and Guitars Fest where they were a fan favorite.
Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones are fronted by a 21-year-old powerhouse guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Hannah Wicklund. Their latest release was produced by Jason Isbell guitarist Sadler Vaden.
All music is free and the public is encouraged to come down with a lawn chair. Food trucks will be on site to provide food and there are several restaurants in the area including Alma Mexicana and Krankies. Incendiary will be releasing their new craft beers over the weekend as they open their doors to the public.
Incendiary Brewing Company along with Gears and Guitars are also planning future events for this fall and the future.
