Junior League of High Point holds annual Leadership Retreat
High Point, NC, July 17, 2019– The Junior League of High Point kicked off the 2019-2020 League year with its annual Leadership Retreat for Board of Directors and Management Team members.
“This annual tradition is one of my favorite parts of the League year,” says Dr. Sadie Leder Elder, President of the Junior League for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 League years. “The energy and excitement of our Leadership Retreat sets the tone for the entire year. I know that we will build on the momentum of this past year to make an even more powerful impact on our community in the year ahead.”

The retreat is an opportunity for leaders within the Junior League to examine community needs and chart a course to make a meaningful impact in both the short- and long-term. There are a number of exciting community impact initiatives and training programs planned for the 2019-2020 League year including our Youth Empowerment Day with the High Point Rockers at BB&T Point on Sun., Aug. 11 and our On-Boarding Training Series designed to help women gain the skills and knowledge necessary to serve on local non-profit Boards scheduled for early spring. In addition, the Junior League of High Point will continue many of its signature projects designed to promote the health and wellness of women and children in our community, including Kids in the Kitchen, Dinner with the League, and our Crock-pot Cooking Class.
We hope that the community will support the Junior League of High Point by taking part in this year’s fundraisers, which include our Designer Showhouse during Fall Furniture Market, our annual poinsettia sale, and our spring fundraiser, Trucks, Taps, and Tunes.
