LaRue On Elm opens today in Downtown Greensboro
| @triadfoodiesAfter a soft opening this past weekend, LaRue Elm is now open at 403 North Elm Street. The buzz is already positive after Chef Trey Bell picked up and moved his residence from Greene Street to the former Ganache location. The menu during the soft opening was an abbreviated one but is now more extensive with plans on further enhancing the menu as time goes on. Those of you familiar with the smaller, quaint LaRue will recognize simplicity in the menu as always, but with quite a few more entrees, as now the large space has a full kitchen. Already, our own Jeff Sykes says the pork belly with turmeric and summer squash “rocked his world.” You’ll find French delicacies like escargot and foie gras in very unique preparations as well as a larger selection of entrees like pork chops, salmon, rabbit and steak frites that seem fancy but are very approachable and delicious. And if you like cocktails, LaRue will definitely hook you up right. Bell is supported by Chef de cuisine, Kevin Cottrell and Sous Chef, Lydia VanBlitterswyk-Greene. Open Tuesday-Saturday or dinner only for now, but Bell says he’ll be announcing lunch hours within the next two months. Oh and Thursday-Saturday, LaRue is open late and it’s super fun times (aka noodle bowls). For more information visit larueelm.com.
