Live Music, Local Artists, and Lots of Talent at High Point Arts Council event
Join the High Point Arts Council for an evening full of live local music at the next Open Mic Night on Friday, June 8, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Centennial Station Arts Center in downtown High Point. This event is free and open to all ages. Artists are invited to perform any genre of music as long as it remains family-friendly and free of expletive language.
Open Mic Night at the Centennial Station Arts Center is like no other for multiple reasons. This open mic serves as a showcase of local artists to the community in a setting that encourages all attention on the artists. Each performance slot is twenty minutes long and can be reserved by calling ahead at 336-889-2787 ext. 26. Each open mic has always been completely filled before the night of the event. To give all local artists a chance to perform, this open mic does not allow past performers to sign up unless slots are available during the week leading up to the event. Structuring the event this way has allowed over 40 local artists to showcase their talents at the Arts Center over the past two years.
The Arts Center’s cash bar will also be open for this event with specials on local beer and wine. The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial St. in downtown High Point. For more information about this event or to sign up for a slot, contact Clint Bowman, Arts Programs Manager, at 336-889-2787 ext. 26 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
