LOCAL ARTIST JON ROLLINS TO EXHIBIT AT INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR
High Point Artist Jon Rollins has been invited to exhibit his paintings at SCOPE Basel, Switzerland from June 12 to 17. SCOPE is the premier showcase for international emerging contemporary art. Renowned for its uncanny ability to forecast new visual trends, SCOPE garners extensive critical acclaim. With cumulative sales well over one billion dollars and attendance of 1.2 million visitors, SCOPE is the largest and most global emerging art fair in the world.
Jon Rollins to attend and show at SCOPE Basel 2018, June 12-17
At SCOPE Basel, Rollins will be represented by JanKossen Contemporary, a gallery featuring emerging artists based in New York City, Venice, and Basel. Dr. Jasmin Kossenjans, director and founder of JanKossen, is working directly with Rollins in order to present his exceptional paintings to the widest possible audience that includes not only the seasoned collector, but also those with a beginning appreciation for gestural abstract expressionism.

Jon Rollins (b. 1991) makes abstract and non-representational work through media experimentation and variations of process. His works evolve through oscillations of spontaneous, intuitive movements and methodical structuring, ranging from chance marks to grid layouts. His imagery incorporates realistic cues, doodles, abstracted forms, and patterns. He received his BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2013. Currently, ten of his paintings are part of the ArsCOCO year long travelling European exhibit. He lives and works in High Point, NC, USA.
