Scott Hendred — Tattoist, business owner
As the owner of Inferno Ink Tattoo in Burlington (www.infernoinktattoo.com), Scott Hendren has an affinity for all things rocking and spooky, so it was a natural that he’d put on a combination tattoo convention/ rock show/ Halloween party. The Hallow- INK FestEVIL runs all weekend long at the Burlington Ramada Inn Convention Center, featuring bands, ink and a costume contest that pays off $500 Saturday night. “This all came around while were sitting on the porch,” he says. “We were like, ‘Everybody does conventions. Why don’t we do a music festival?’” The result includes everything from blues to hard and classic rock, reggae to rockabilly. The event kicks off Friday night and rolls into Saturday on Halloween weekend. “It’s just a fun holiday for everybody to let loose,” Scott says.
