    High Point, NC – Business High Point, Inc. and the High Point Chamber of Commerce are ecstatic to welcome a new Senior Director of Events & Leadership in 2017. Megan Oglesby will join the organization’s staff beginning Monday, January 2, 2017.

    In this position, Oglesby will be responsible for all major Chamber events and their sponsorships. Such events include the Robert McInnis Golf Tournament, Women’s Business Luncheon, the Annual Meeting and more. Oglesby will also be responsible for the Leadership High Point program, High Point’s premier program for creating community leaders.

    Patrick Chapin, President & CEO of Business High Point and the High Point Chamber remarks, “We are thrilled to welcome Megan to Business High Point and the High Point Chamber of Commerce. She brings with her an MBA and years of wonderful experience, along with a creative and positive style which will immediately impact our members and mission.”

    On her new position, Oglesby states, “I am excited to join Business High Point and the Chamber and be a part of the team. I look forward to meeting and working with the organization’s many members through my role with events and leadership.”

    Oglesby’s addition will allow current staff members to concentrate more on important areas such as membership recruitment and retention, marketing and communications, and the Chamber’s four pillars of business services, workforce development, education, and government advocacy.
    “Her addition is going to be a critical megan-oglesby-2016part in the future success of our organization, our team and this city,” Chapin adds.

    Oglesby is a 2016 graduate of Leadership High Point, a High Point native, with a Corporate Communications degree from Elon University and an MBA from High Point University. Oglesby joins the Chamber after spending six years at Old Dominion Freight.
