MORGAN RADFORD TO KEYNOTE SYNERG’S 2020 LEAD YOUR CITY SUMMIT
Morgan Radford, Greensboro native and NBC News Correspondent, will be the keynote speaker at synerG’s sixth annual Lead Your City summit on Thurs., Mar. 19, 2020 from 8:30am-5:30pm.
The summit will be held at the Elliot University Center at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Lead Your City is a full day, conference-style event specifically for Greensboro’s young professional community. The summit is designed to help young professionals grow their leadership skills, build on their ideas, serve their community and connect their network. This year the summit will focus on leadership through storytelling. Development objectives of the summit include understanding the role of stories in everyday life and identifying one’s own story in order to use it for authentic leadership and effectiveness in the workplace.
Since joining NBC in 2015, Radford has covered some of the country’s biggest stories including the 2016 presidential election, the groundbreaking 2018 midterms, and the immigration debate at the U.S. southern border. She received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism. Radford is a native of Greensboro, a graduate of Grimsley High School, and fondly references her hometown on air.
Radford shared that “The best thing about stories – is that everyone has one. Storytelling is how we connect, inspire and lead. I can’t wait to hear yours, in the place where mine began!”
Additional sessions include a Design Thinking seminar and an Ethical Leadership seminar, both facilitated by UNCG Online, as well as Telling Greensboro’s Story panel.
Young professionals living or working in the Greensboro area are encouraged to attend Lead Your City which includes access to summit sessions, breakfast, lunch, a free headshot, and entry to a networking reception.
