Nation’s Restaurant News Includes Biscuitville President Kathie Niven Among “New Top Restaurant Executives”
GREENSBSORO, N.C. (DECEMBER 26, 2018)—Nation’s Restaurant News, a leading food service industry magazine, has published its list of “2018 New Top Restaurant Executives.” Included in the list is Biscuitville Fresh Southern® President Kathie S. Niven, who was named president of Greensboro-based Biscuitville in March 2018.
The Nation’s Restaurant News list features 62 people who assumed the top post at their respective restaurant-industry companies during 2018. In addition to Niven, the magazine’s list included Ruth’s Chris CEO Cheryl Henry, Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol, Buffalo Wild Wings President Lyle Tick and Cinnabon President Kristen Hartman.

Prior to being named President, Niven served as Chief Brand Officer at Biscuitville. In that role, she was responsible for defining and accelerating the creation of Biscuitville’s Fresh Southern® brand positioning. Earlier in her career, Niven served as Vice President of Field Marketing for Quiznos Corporation and marketing executive with RTM/Arby’s Roast Beef Corporation, Burger King Corporation, and Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.
Niven received a B.A. degree in English with a minor in communications from Elon University. Niven’s post-graduate studies and professional development included course work in leadership, branding and strategy at the Center for Creative Leadership, the Kenan Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill and Design Thinking at Harvard University.
