On May 13, the Winston-Salem Ambassadors will host Second Sundays on 4th (SSO4) in Downtown Winston-Salem. This FREE family-friendly outdoor event series, one of four for 2018, (May 13, June 10, Sept. 9 and Oct. 14,) is produced by the Winston-Salem Ambassadors, by Flow Mini of WS, Summit School, Linville Team Partners, Reece Builders, Triad Moms on Main and a number of other local sponsors. These events are impossible to produce without assistance from these wonderful local community partners and the Winston-Salem Ambassadors express their profound gratitude to them.
Each SSO4 event includes two free bands, as well as a kids’ zone with fun activities. The events are on 4th Street between Cherry and Marshall Streets. On May 13, locals Clay Howard, Tim Beeman and Neal Goode of Threadbare Trio will open our event. Taking over the stage next is The Luxuriant Sedans. The Luxuriant Sedans is a five-piece band that consists of five musical veterans of North Carolina’s fertile music scene.
The featured Nonprofit for May’s SSO4 is Hustle Winston-Salem. HUSTLE Winston-Salem is a unique organization on a mission to accelerate under-represented entrepreneurs, with an initial focus on women, people of color, and marginalized business districts. More info can be found at hustlews.com.
The Winston-Salem Ambassadors, a nonprofit in their second year aims to increase awareness of Winston-Salem and is led by a passionate, involved Board of Advisors and by Winston-Salem champion, Mackenzie Cates-Allen.
Our June 10 ‘Linville Team Partners Second Sundays on Fourth’ will have Dante’s Roadhouse and SoulJam as the bands and HOPE of WS as the featured nonprofit.
