ORGANIZATIONS PARTNER WITH GREENHILL TO ENRICH EMPLOYEES’ EXPERIENCE
(GREENSBORO, NC) GreenHill’s Employment Enrichment through the Arts Program is an innovative program that offers an affordable addition to employers’ portfolio of benefits. The program is a creative and cost-effective way to engage the public, strengthen an employer’s corporate image, and enhance visibility while supporting the art and educational programming at GreenHill.
Laura Way, GreenHill’s executive director, explains, “Employers are facing myriad concerns; how to attract and retain qualified staff and keep up with the rising cost of a comprehensive benefits program. We hear in the news every day that employers are having a difficult time finding qualified employees, so we wanted to find a way in which we could help our local employers attract and retain the best workforce possible. We know from research that people are attracted to cities where they feel a connection; arts, culture, diversity, innovation and urban livability are part of an important mix of qualities that make our city attractive to an educated and qualified workforce.” Way explains, “There is ample research demonstrating that highly productive employees are those who are happy where they live, play and work. Millennials often look for the place they want to live first and then find their career opportunity. This generation of employees looks for affordability, culture, food, and fun. GreenHill is a special cultural amenity that offers vibrancy, fun, inspiration, and beauty, not just for Millennials but everyone, from the toddler to the life-long learner.”
Action Greensboro’s talent development initiatives, synerG and Campus Greensboro, introduces emerging professionals to the full range of art and cultural offerings in Greensboro as a mechanism for engagement with the broader community.
According to Cecelia Thompson, Executive Director, Action Greensboro, “GreenHill has been a longstanding partner in this work and is a welcome addition to the wide variety of opportunities our city offers young professionals.”
GreenHill’s Employment Enrichment through the Arts Program is comparable to gym memberships employer’s often provide for their staff. Just as many employers pay or offer an on-site gym to participate in activities for physical health and wellness, now employers can provide special access to world-class arts organization for their employees to engage in phenomenal programming, stretch their creative muscles, think deeply, and clear their minds. Using the Employment Enrichment Program as a perk of employment and tool for employee retention is an investment in building community within your firm and in the cultural fabric of Greensboro. Sarah Healy, communications specialist, City of Greensboro says, “The Employee Enrichment through the Arts Program has been a tremendous benefit for City employees who have been able to see first-hand the fantastic programming offered at GreenHill between workshops, summer camps and exhibitions by North Carolina artists. We are so fortunate to have an art space like GreenHill and giving employees access to this gem is invaluable.”
Employment Enrichment sponsorship levels vary according to the number of employees. A $5,000 Employment Enrichment sponsorship enables up to 100 employees to receive Household Memberships for one year. Participating employers receive recognition on GreenHill’s website with a link, in-house signage, an ad in one semi-annual Program Guide, tickets to Collector’s Choice and a company-centric family day at GreenHill. Enrichment employee participants receive the full range of GreenHill member benefits.
