“Queen of Sass” Aubrey Logan Set to Bring High Octane Personality and Multiple Talents to the Triad, Promising an Unforgettable Musical Experience
High Point, NC — Whether jammin’ on her trombone or sailing through a song with her nothing-held-back, multi-octave vocals, Aubrey Logan knows how to captivate an audience! Her style as an entertainer ranges from sassy to sultry, and she will be bringing it all to the Triad when she makes a stop at the High Point Theatre on Fri., Nov. 2, at 8:00 pm.
Artist Aubrey Logan captivates an audience with trombone and nothing-held-back, multi-octave vocals!
Growing up in Snohomish, WA, the only child of two music teachers with eclectic tastes, the soundtrack at the Logan household often featured Stevie Wonder, Beethoven, Karen Carpenter, Céline Dion, and Ella Fitzgerald tracks playing back-to-back. As a teen, she took up the trombone when her Dad brought home a variety of instruments from the school, and she picked the trombone so she could be in a jazz band. Once she started playing jazz, her attention naturally turned to also singing jazz.
A graduate of Boston’s renown Berklee College of Music and winner of the top vocal competitions at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Aubrey is passionate about her art and finds herself at home whether in a recording studio, on stage with a symphony orchestra, in intimate clubs with her own ensemble or in a classroom teaching kids.
Known affectionately to her fans as the Queen of Sass for her inimitable, fun and quirky style, Logan has appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, American Idol, The Goldberg’s and with Pharrell Williams at the Grammy Awards. She has spent the last two years touring throughout Europe and the U.S. with Postmodern Jukebox, featured in over 150 shows, including their recently taped PBS special. With millions of YouTube views, and counting, Aubrey stepped out as a solo artist with her debut album, Impossible, a collection of nine original tracks and three covers, released in early September of last year, showcasing singles like “Louboutins,” “Gossip” and the Motown-influenced “Pistol.”
“Aubrey Logan promises to be one of our most exciting and unique musical performers of the season,” says High Point Theatre Director David Briggs. “It is almost impossible to describe the energy and creativity of this outrageously talented individual!” Tickets are $20-$25, available at the High Point Theatre box office by calling (336) 887-3001 and online at www.highpointtheatre.com.
