SIMON JEWELERS “DIGGING FOR DIAMONDS” CONTEST RETURNS IN 2020 AT HIGH POINT ROCKERS
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point Rockers, in conjunction with corporate partner Simon Jewelers, are bringing back the Simon Jewelers “Digging for Diamonds” Contest in 2020. The revamped competition will give fans the chance to win one of two diamond prizes, courtesy of Simon Jewelers, valued at $2,000 each, at the Rockers August 29 home game against the Sugar Land Skeeters.

“We are so happy to be bringing back the Digging for Diamonds contest with the Rockers this summer,” said Gary Simon, President of Simon Jewelers. “Last year’s competition was a tremendous success and we are even more excited about the new additions to this year’s version. By adding two grand prizes, a diamond necklace and a set of diamond earrings, as well as working with Rockers on even more giveaways, we know that this season’s contest will bring even more of our community out to witness the fun and passion that comes with a High Point Rockers baseball game!”
The contest, which runs until 11:59pm (EST) on Friday, August 28th, is open to all fans 18 years old or older. Participants can enter the contest by submitting their names from now until August. Fans can submit entries in one of four ways. 1) Visit Simon Jewelers, located at 1345 N. Main St., #108, High Point, N.C. 27262 and follow the steps to enter there. 2) Visit the High Point Rockers Guest Services Booth, located behind home plate at BB&T Point during all home games prior to August 29th. 3) Visit the High Point Rockers website, HighPointRockers.com, and fill out an online entry form. 4) Send a 3”x5” card with your name, zip code, date of birth, email address, and phone number to: High Point Rockers, “Digging for Diamond Contest”, 301 N. Elm Street, High Point, NC 27262.
At the end of each month, eleven (11) monthly winners will be announced from entries exclusively at the Simon Jewelers location for a total of 99 finalists. In addition, another 45 winners will be announced over the public address system at select Rockers home games, for a total of 144 finalists. These lucky contestants will receive two tickets to a to be determined Rockers home game in 2020, as well as, two tickets to the August 29th game where they will have the chance to “dig for diamonds”. Fans are limited to only one entry per legitimate email or physical address.

All 144 winners will then come on to the field at BB&T Point after the Rockers take on Sugar Land and “dig for diamonds” with two lucky winners a diamond piece of jewelry, valued at $2,000 each. After becoming the first expansion team in Atlantic League history to reach the playoffs in their inaugural campaign, the Rockers will kickoff their second season on April 30th at 7:00pm when they host the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
