Student Rates Offered for Native Production by High Point Arts Council
On Sunday, February 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. the High Point Arts Council is thrilled to be presenting a special showing of Native, an EbzB Production about the relationship between Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Green and author Richard Wright. Highlighting the collaboration between two influential writers that began in Chapel Hill, NC, Native lays out a dialogue that touches on who has the right to tell the story of race, politics, and social class.
Due to the educational value of this play, the High Point Arts Council has made a student rate of $15 available to all students up through college. Teachers who bring students to the play will be allowed into the play for free. For teachers to take advantage of this rate, they will need to contact Clint Bowman, Arts Programs Manager, to make arrangements.
The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial Street in downtown High Point. General admission to this event is $20. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at HighPointArts.org/events. For more information contact the High Point Arts Council at Programs@highpointarts.org or at 336-889-2787 ext. 26.
