Texas Pete® Earns Several Honors at American Advertising Awards
Texas Pete ® recently earned several awards at the 2018 American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Northeast Tennessee’s annual awards ceremony. The awards, known colloquially as the “Addys,” are among the most prestigious accolades given in the advertising industry.
This year, Texas Pete was honored with three distinct awards for campaigns in 2017. They won Gold and “Judge’s Choice” awards for their “Texas Pete Cologne” campaign. The campaign won its Gold award in the Online/Interactive category for social media impact. This campaign was a viral marketing campaign promoting Texas Pete-themed cologne to consumers. The message was openly tongue-in-cheek, as the promotion code to purchase was “AprilFools.” The campaign garnered a great deal of social media buzz and helped promote the light-hearted aspect of the Texas Pete brand.
The Texas Pete team also earned a Silver Addy for their new foodservice website, which launched in 2017. The site won under the Online/Interactive category for business-to-business website. This new site has been developed to help Texas Pete communicate important product information and industry opportunities to their foodservice partners. The foodservice site offers production information, industry news, rebates, and a vast array of industry insights—from flavor trends to new recipe/menu ideas.
