The Barnabas Network welcomes Vanore to Board of Directors
Greensboro, N.C. – The Barnabas Network is happy to announce Richard Vanore has joined its board of directors. Vanore was named President of Koury Corporation in September 2019, after having served in various capacities within the company since 1992. An alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he is active with the Greensboro Builders Association and is licensed with both the North Carolina Board of General Contractors and the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
“We’re thrilled to have Richard on our team,” says Barnabas Executive Director Derrick Sides. “It’s a great match. His energy and commitment to Greensboro are a perfect fit for our dynamic and growing organization.” In addition to Vanore’s appointment, Barnabas has also named the following board members to leadership roles: Barth Ashe as Treasurer, Bethany Duggins as Board Chair, and Dawn Martin as Secretary.
Last year, The Barnabas Network served 2,099 people in 770 households. This translated to more than 8,000 pieces of furniture distributed to families in need;1,067 pieces were beds, and half of them went to school-age children.
