The Yadkin Arts Council Presents the 34th Annual Yadkin Valley Bluegrass & Old Time Convention on Saturday, April 20, 2019
(YADKINVILLE, N.C.) — The Yadkin Arts Council is thrilled to be hosting the 34th Annual Yadkin Valley Bluegrass & Old Time Convention this year April 20, 2019, with the first round of competitions beginning at 1pm in the Yadkinville Elementary School Multi-Purpose Center.
Registration for the competitions begin at 12pm on the day of the event
Musicians of all ages are welcome to perform and compete in front of a live audience full of their family and friends from the Bluegrass & Old Time community. From live competitions to impromptu jam sessions, the toe-tapping sounds of this classic American style of music will be heard throughout the campus of Yadkinville Elementary School all afternoon and evening. The Convention features $5,400 in prizes that is spread amongst the top five Bluegrass & Old Time Bands and the top three individual junior and senior performers.
Yadkinville Elementary School is located on US Highway 601 North in Yadkinville, NC. Doors for this event and registration opens at 12pm with Individual Competitions starting at 1pm and Band Competitions starting at 7:30pm. Admission is $10 for adults and FREE for kids ages 10 & under. Concessions will be available for purchase at this event (alcohol is prohibited).

About the Willingham Theater
The Willingham Theater hosted its first performance in December 2012, just two short years after the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center opened its doors to the citizens of Yadkin County. While many might dismiss the power of a small city theater, we like to prove that we can indeed bring the big city excitement and experience to our small town. Our state-of-the-art theater seats 193 patrons and showcases a variety of engaging performances ranging from music, dance, drama, comedy, and even film. In addition to ample seating, the Willingham Theater has a remarkable state-of-the-art-technology. The Willingham Theater is owned and operated by the Yadkin Arts Council.
