Tickets on Sale Now for The Barnabas Network’s Chair Affair Fundraiser May 9
Greensboro, N.C. – The Barnabas Network will host Chair Affair 2019 on Thursday, May 9, 6-9 p.m., at The Colonnade at Revolution Mill. Proceeds from the event will support the Barnabas Network and its mission to provide basic home furnishings at no cost to qualified families transitioning out of homelessness, recovering from a major setback, fleeing abuse or violence, or overcoming severe poverty.
Chair Affair, held every other year, is a cocktail party featuring creative food, fun surprises, and five chair-themed raffles to be held throughout the evening. Tickets to attend the party are $75 per person and raffle tickets are $50 each. Both are available for purchase online at https://www.thebarnabasnetwork.org/2019-chair-affair.
Only 200 raffle tickets will be sold. Buyers may pick which of five raffles they would like to enter and do not have to be present to win. Raffle items are: a night at Grandover Resort and Spa, a mid-century modern leather chair from Priba Furniture, a sterling bracelet fromFink’s Jewelers, a painting by Greensboro artist Agnes Preston Brame, and an embellished iron bench by Asheboro artist Mike Durham.
The Barnabas Network is a local non-profit furniture bank that gives free home furnishings to families in need. Barnabas accepts gently-used furniture and houseware items from individuals and businesses. The Barnabas Network is funded through special events like Chair Affair, private donations, and grants. Last year, the organization served 2,167 individuals in 725 households, giving away more than 8,000 pieces of furniture, including 1,154 beds with 571 going to school-aged children.
