TRIAD’S FIRST FOOD HALL GETS NAME, STOCK + GRAIN ASSEMBLY, AND SEEKS LOCAL VENDORS
HIGH POINT, N.C. (Nov. 18, 2019) – The Triad’s first food hall – part of The Outfields development surrounding the High Point Rockers stadium – now has a name, Stock + Grain Assembly, and has begun looking for local food and beverage vendors.
The 12,000-square-foot marketplace, a project of Baltimore-based developer CANAdev, will feature 10 vendors, ample seating and a large outdoor space when it opens next summer. CANAdev is issuing a formal request for proposals Nov. 19 in hopes of drawing food and beverage companies to fill the food hall.
Stock + Grain Assembly is a cornerstone asset in the High Point revitalization project 275 North Elm—downtown’s first new Class A office and retail space. The development, with Stock + Grain on its first floor, will provide businesses and retail with the opportunity to become a vital part of the growing downtown focus.
A Hub of Connectivity
With unparalleled access to foot traffic from the adjoining future plaza, BB&T Point stadium and downtown High Point, 275 North Elm will serve as the new hub of connectivity for the city of High Point, its workers, and its residents. The revitalized location invites families, local businesses and marketgoers to a new, year-round, community-centered environment.
“Stock + Grain Assembly will be a destination for local makers,” said Mike Morris, CANAdev principal owner. “Vendors will offer a range of products, from coffee and breakfast to pizza and wine. We’re excited for this opportunity to highlight High Point’s unique culture and history, as we’ve done for the many communities that host our other food hall projects nationwide.”
Inspiration from Craftsman Heritage
The name Stock + Grain Assembly was inspired by the history of High Point, the Home Furnishings Capital of the World, and takes a cue from the craftsman heritage of the neighborhood, with a subtle nod to food.
The logo found inspiration in industrial artifacts — upholstery labels, manufacturing company logos, furniture makers’ marks — and even features a dovetail joining “Stock” and “Grain.” The design will find depth in a color palette driven by the warmth and richness of wood tones.
CANAdev has 16 food hall projects either completed or in the works, including in Baltimore, Boston, Tribeca in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
