GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wrangler®, the iconic American denim brand representing timeless authenticity in apparel, has collaborated with Vans® to release an exclusive denim collection showcasing a new take on classic silhouettes. Dressed in Vans’ iconic Checkerboard, the premium offering includes Wrangler’s original Cowboy Cut jeans, jackets, skirts and backpacks.
The two distinct brands have fostered style and individuality for decades, honing their unique monikers from their rich histories. Founded in 1947, Wrangler is recognized for marks of quality including its leather patch, rope logo button, flat rivets, a deeper watch pocket and downward facing seam above the back pocket, the iconic ‘W’ stitching and seven belt loops. Checkerboard is a staple to Vans’ design aesthetic and represents the brand’s roots in creative expression. Being the first design inspired by youth culture, fans have been marking up Vans canvas in checkerboard since the early ‘70s with thousands of iterations released since the print’s inception.
