Whiskey Foxtrot releases second single
By: Mason Winfree
Whiskey Foxtrot is an Americana/Southern rock band based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and today they are dropping their second single called “Turn Off the Headlights.”
The band was originally formed as a duo in 2017 by musicians Seth Williams and Sam Foster, and it has since grown into a five-piece band consisting of Brad Carlile (bass/vocals), Terry VunCannon (lap steel), and Steven Worley (drums). The band released their first single a couple of weeks ago titled “The Broken End,” which showcases the writing talents of Sam Foster. Their newest single, “Turn Off the Headlights,” was written by Seth Williams and it captures the high-octane spirit of some of the best that the genre has to offer.
Whiskey Foxtrot draws upon an eclectic mix of influences ranging from Blackberry Smoke to Willie Nelson, and you can already hear in their first two singles that they are prepared to carry on and breathe new life into a tradition that has long been a part of our region.
You can listen to “The Broken End” and “Turn Off the Headlights” wherever you get your digital music!
