    Celebrate National Crepe Day – “La Chandleur” – Feb 2nd

    To celebrate National Crepe Day – also known as “La Chandleur” – The Katharine will offer a special crepe menu at brunch and dinner featuring three crepes: Roasted banana with hazelnut, brown sugar with orange crème Chantilly, or basil with ratatouille and goat cheese. Look for cider offerings as well! From 8am – 2pm, the crepes will be made-to-order from our crepe station in the bar, and from 5pm – 10pm, the crepes will be available on our dinner menu.

    Super Bowl Sunday at The Katharine Brasserie – Feb 3rd

    In honor of the big game – aired in our bar area – The Katharine will offer food and drink all day! From 8am until 10pm, choose from domestic beer buckets (includes 6 beers), half priced draft beer, and half priced wine by the bottle, as well as our entire bar food menu at half price.     Three Days to experience the decadent à la carte Valentine’s Day Menu – Feb 14-16th

    Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one on February 14th, 15th or 16th! Executive Chef Adam Barnett will offer dishes like beef carpaccio, lobster tagliatelle, and a luxurious chocolate dessert.     The Katharine Goes Cajun for a New Orleans Style Mardi Gras Party – March 5th

    The Katharine celebrates Fat Tuesday in style with a New Orleans style Mardi Gras Party, complete with Cajun classics like jambalaya, beignets and king cake, as well as a jazz band from 6pm-10pm. Guests who arrive in festive costume will receive a drink ticket to redeem at the bar.

    Happy Hour with Top Candidates for the Winston-Salem Symphony Conductor, March 4 & April 29

    Join The Katharine Brasserie & Bar for Happy Hour drinks & bites with the top candidates for the Winston Salem Symphony’s conductor. As each potential conductor visits Winston Salem, they will host a performance at the Symphony followed by a “Meet and Greet” in The Katharine’s bar. Guests will receive a drink ticket from the Symphony staff to use toward a complimentary glass of wine or draft beer and appetizers will be provided.     ABOUT CHEF ADAM BARNETT

    Chef Adam Barnett, a native of Columbus, Ohio, attended the New England Culinary Institute and began his culinary career in traditional French bistro and brasserie kitchens. Barnett is known for his fresh, modern approach to classic French cuisine, following work with renowned Washington, DC restaurants such as West End Bistro by Eric Ripert at the Ritz Carlton and Poste Brasserie. Barnett’s culinary pedigree also includes training alongside Chef Patrick O’Connell at The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia and at Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California. Prior to The Katharine, Barnett was the Executive Chef at Lyon Hall in Arlington, a bustling restaurant in the Clarendon neighborhood, serving a classic French brasserie menu. Chef Barnett joined The Katharine as Executive Chef in June 2017 and has reinvigorated it with timeless French brasserie fare celebrating locally grown foods and modern technique.
